Understanding what Isaiah meant in its original contacts and seeing how it was understood and utilized in the New Testament is fruitful for having a better understanding of Scripture as a whole. This is definitely meant for the more scholarly among us, but it is a highly helpful study.

If one likes Witherington's method, it is vintage. He tries to point to the areas where Isaiah is united rather than different. Yet, he acknowledges and at times concedes the validity of modern scholarship. This is an excellent book for those wanting to learn how to treat their dog with essential oils. I especially liked that it discussed which never to use, as well as which would be most beneficial. It also has recipes for various remedies. I especially liked that it has a recipe for a solution to soak their collar in to effectively make it a natural flea collar, which is much healthier than the chemical ones and seems to be as effective, without treating them with harmful chemicals. I think you will enjoy this book and its recipes for using essential oils.

Several fellow students had trouble following along and in a few cases they even got the details fully backwards. The book could use a bit more work in untangling those areas so that the concept is clearer. As it was, I would have to "re-explain" the content in a simpler way for them to see what the concept actually was.On the positive side, the material is quite fascinating. Our class had lively discussions over the issues and cases brought up. Many people use eBay, Craigslist, and other similar online sites. The idea of how one could or could not be legally pursued as a result of those situations was thought-provoking. So in that sense, if the book was a bit easier to read, it would be good reading for just about anyone who uses the internet, not just someone taking a college class in this topic.So in general, well recommended. There's a lot of great, useful content in here for anybody who uses the internet to make purchases or post information. Still, I would hope that a subsequent version would work through the dense areas to make them clearer.I purchased this book with my own funds in order to take a college course.

I will echo the sentiment of another reviewer and mention the horrible DRM for this book. You can only have it on 2 devices at a time. I generally have books on 4 devices, my work computer, personal computer, kindle and phone. I now either have to delete it off of devices when I am done for a moment or adjust my ability to read the book accordingly. I went digital because I want the freedom and convenience that come with it. If this wasn't just for a class I would be asking for refund.Like was said, policies like this lead to piracy. I pay for something and then am restricted in how I can use it. I am sure there are people that will break DRM in order to view it on their multiple devices and then pass the book along just because when prior they wouldn't have.

The book is fine. It has some good content, but the DRM is terrible. 2 device limit? Atrocious. I like to have a copy on my PC at work, a copy on my home PC, and a copy on my tablet for the train, and since this author agreed to this terrible DRM practice by Kindle and their Publisher, I constantly have to delete and re-download it back and forth... And Kindle constantly things I have 1 too many copies downloaded, so that is not even a good solution. This is what leads to piracy and DRM-breaking software, unfortunately.

Extremely well-written textbook on the laws relevant to the Internet and cybersecurity. It covers legal topics in a logical and accessible manner to non-lawyers without dumbing it down for practicing attorneys.

I bought this book (through my dad's amazon account) asa dental student trying to learn more about endo. This is the best book I've found! It is written at a level that anyone could understand it and is authoritative on the current state of the literature. It was a pleasure to read and was informative.

Excellent review for the oral board exam. Up to date info. There's nothing new in there that you didn't learn during your residency, but it organizes and summarizes the information well. I read it several times to the point of almost memorizing it. Dr. Blicher has provided a good service for her fellow endodontists by putting this study guide together.

I am having a good time with this book. Its been really annoying picking up random blues guitar books only to find a bunch of licks and maybe a passing introduction to a 12 bar or something. I really wanted to get into the blues; down the rabbit hole; something that I could spend months with. This is that book for me. The Rhythm section has been fantastic, I am on the last chapter now, been working through in a linear fashion and I haven't been bored; On the contrary, I find that each example has a habit of leading me down a long jam session that I can't break. My playing is also noticeably better. The book is laid out in an easy to understand way; It doesn't bog you down with theory and it doesn't linger too long, its concise and effective. The audio examples are perfect which is good because you play the notation and think you've got it down and then you hear the clarity in the example and realize you need a little more work with it. Since this book, I've bought 3 other Fundamental Changes books and will probably end up owning all of them. Great Stuff

This is a really helpful book. I've been through several blues guitar books in the past and have found most of them helpful too, but this book is better than most in the way you don't just get one example of something, but rather several examples that you can practice.There's also a lot of material here, this is three books in one, and the exercises for each book are pretty extensive. I'd consider myself an 'intermediate' player trying to continue to take steps forward into 'advanced' territory, and through the first 50 pages or so, I've reached some rhythm guitar material that's pretty challenging.The book has downloadable audio tracks for the exercises, so there's no wondering if you've got the sound right. The only thing I would improve about this book is that on the audio tracks the exercises are sometimes played at very high speed. Particularly on some of the later rhythm exercises, it can be a challenge to actually determine what you're hearing. Perhaps this challenge isn't too bad a thing, but it would be helpful if there were a slow version and a fast version of some of the examples.Overall, a very nice resource. I wish this book had been around before I bought about a dozen others I've used over the years.

I've been playing guitar off and on for several decades and have bought a number of music books covering different topics, but never had any formal training. I bought the Complete Guide to Blues Guitar Compilation, and after having gone through it for a week or so can say that this is probably the most useful one I've found so far...! Each section starts somewhat basic, but quickly moves to more advanced aspects of the topic, and has the right combination of theoretical explanation and practical examples. Many, many aspects of guitar playing that I have picked up over the years are presented in the book with explanations as to why they sound like they do and how they are connected to other things that help put everything into context. These connections have really helped me to bring my playing to a whole new level, and I'm only about 20% into the book. You will have to work at it, though - you'll never be able to read any book and become the player you want to become without a lot of effort. However, this book provides me with the tools I need to make my time practicing and learning really pay off. Highly recommended!

I had a guitar in high school, pre youtube but never really got into it because I already played saxophone and got terribly bored with the method books that taught me one note at a time and spent way too much time on how to read music (which I can do) and not enough time teaching me how to play music on the instrument at hand. This book is not like that. It will not waste your time teaching you to read music or how to hold your instrument you can find that on youtube and be strumming basic chord in about and hour. It starts out by giving you some chord shapes and then introduces the twelve bar blues. Then gives you some different chord shapes and more blues. Then some embellishments and more blues. As a competent musician with a new instrument this has enabled me to enjoy my guitar in the first week that I have owned it and is helping me toward my goal of be a competent blues artist on my guitar. It is nice for a musician new to guitar in that so far it has not thrown any curve balls every time it introduces a new chord it gives you the diagram for it ahead of time and there is an audio track for everything I have used so far. It may be the deep end of the pool for a beginner but I am getting results.

This is another winning tlearning tool by Joseph Alexander. It is not a beginners manual for learning to play the guitar. It IS an excellent teaching guide for learning to play the blues. The text is clear, the explanations are clear, the examples are excellent. I have only been playing for about 9 months so it is slower for me than it would be for someone more experienced, but the pace is tolerable and because of Alexander's ability to teach, I can learn with just the book (and downloaded audio).The great thing about the exercises is that there are enough of them...by that I mean than they lead you into more complex skills a step at a time. An analogy is when one is trying to learn a new piece, the idea is to break it down into smaller sections and then put the sections together. Alexander is a wizard at presenting meaningful bits that can be mastered and then built into something more complex.Excellent all around!
