Eternal Vampire: nteresting story. It progesses in leaps. The characters are interesting and leave you wanting to know more about everyone and how they inter-relate. Lane shows wisdom from exposure and a lot of common sense. Her mother, Julia kept her obsessively sequestered thinking she was protecting her. She crossed the line toward being emotionally abusive. Will Lane survive? Will Henry take advantage of her innocense. Is Julia, Lane's mom participating in a conspiracy to throw over the ruling Council? Does Lane display any of her 'powerful' witch tendencies? Intriguing start to the series. Raises a lot of questions. I found this first book intriguing.Forbidden Wolf: Landon was a playa because he had nothing better, or so he thought. Wren was from the Elliot Bay pack which was on the bottom of the lycan ladder. Cristiana was Wren's best friend and cohort for all things. Jordan as Wren's brother unexpectedly caught up in the Elliot family business. Landon becomes aware of Wren while she still has her protective walls up. Landon's social awareness is peaked and he tries to write wrongs without a deep dive into the why or the consequences. Wren unexplainedly is drawn to Landon. They both fight what they don't know they are fighting. What is the pull? How long will they fight it? Will Landon's social experiment benefit or harm all? Will they all drop their walls long enough to meet each other half way? What role does the Council play in whatever Landon is unleashing? This story was fun, opened some doors, closed others. Nicely done. Can't wait for the next story.Guardian Dragon: Drake, Raven and Alec make a fun pair. Drake appears very resentful he is a Council bystander. Alec is a very laid back dragon. No description of him being dragon large. I had a hard time liking Briar because there was no background for her attitude or esteem issues. I would have liked more clarity for her attitude towards Connor. This was a fun read because of the mystery behind the story. Why was Briar not more curious about her special ability? There was no real romance between Alec and Briar. He knew she was his mate, she had a slight feeling and trusted him. Why would she settle for so little. Raven kicked it up and went gansta on Briar, totally delicious. The ending was not satisfying because it left a lot of open doors.Chosen Bear: Other than Alec doing his dragon thing, Briar's healing,or the demons having a quick demonout, none of the council members showed their skills. So what made them so bad a$$? Theo doesn't seem to ask the right questions for such a powerful person. How does he not have an IT expert for hsi company? What ever happened with Matthew, Theo's #2? What was behind Simone's relationship with her father and step-mom? There are a lot of open questions/situation, so I presume further books are coming. There was good intrigue in this story. Author was extremely light on details or geographical descriptions. And, what exactly does the Council do? All of the leaders seem to be totally out of touch with their kind. Interesting series, so far. I received the series as an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

As the story progresses Lane fights to find herself, danger arrives from unexpected corners and conspiracies come to light. This was a nice book about being true to yourself and fighting for what is right. I am eagerly looking forward to more stories from this series, including the matches already existing.==========#**********#FORBIDDEN WOLF#**********#==========A great addition to the Council of Seven seriesWren, a lycan bartender, meets Landon, the lycan Councilman and CEO of a marketing firm, when he interrupts an altercation at the club she works at. As the story progresses skewed perceptions are righted, the foundation of who they are is shaken and loyalty is out to the test. This book continues the story of the men in the Council of Seven and how they find their mates. With more drama behind the scenes of the council and plenty of interpersonal conflict I can't wait to read about Alec and Theo finding their mates.==========#**********#GUARDIAN DRAGON#**********#==========Three down and one to go, what happens to Theo I want to know.Briar, a retail worker, meets Alec, the dragon councilman and real estate developer, when he is in her hospital room after she was involved in an accident. As the story progresses a crime is blamed on the wrong person, a dangerous situation occurs and a surprising family ancestor could be the answer. The councilmen seem to thrive on bending the rules fortheir mate's safety. Three down and one to go, what happens to Theo I want to know.==========#**********#CHOSEN BEAR#**********#==========A lovely conclusion to the Council of Seven seriesSimone, a data processor, and Theo, werebear councilman and CEO of a private security firm, . As the story progresses danger arrives, new enchanted are encountered and secrets must be kept for their safety. This final book in the Council of Seven series is a lovely conclusion that also leaves a few new avenues for Juniper Hart to explore should her story muse allow.==========I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout.
