The Chapel Series are indeed a modern day fairy tale. Scarlett is a beautiful young woman who has hit hard times. Her mother was killed in a car wreck, her father has cancer and can't afford his chemotherapy. Scarlett is faced with losing her house because of the mounting medical bills. She takes a job a a local strip club and goes by the stage name Samantha. To protect her identity and hide her shame, she wears a mask while dancing. One night she meets a very handsome man that she is immediately attracted to but won't go out with because of her personal pledge not to date her customers. She meets the same man again, this time at church, and since he does not recognize her, she agrees to go out with him. Somehow this man is aware of her plight and makes an offer that seems almost too good to me true. He offers to marry her just so she can have his money. Will Charlotte accept his offer? Will they eventually fall in love? Well, it is romance series, but since I do not publish spoilers, you will have to find out for yourself.Cruse's writing is excellent, he characters are far more developed than one would expect. In fact they are better than most characters from what passes for literature these days. There is sex, all of it hot and steamy, but it never crosses over into crass pornography. As a guy who loves a good romance novel from time to time, I was not disappointed at all in this series.
I love it when I discover a series that's already been completed so that I don't have to hang over any cliffs waiting for a new book to come out. This is what happened for me with author Marilyn Cruise's "The Chapel Series" and it was an awesome read from start to finish. The quite original story of Scarlett, who works as a stripper and has some real life problems, as do many of us. She meets sexy billionaire Michael both in the club and later at church, who makes her a pretty incredible deal. There is are some secrets and pretty intense moments in this one that made this an unforgettable read. Can't recommend this complete series enough.
I love box sets, they're such a great value and I always try to find a series in a set, and I'm really glad I found this one. The Chapel Series is one of the best romance trilogies that I've read in a long time. Scarlett's life hasn't been easy to say the least, but everything is about to change for her when she meets Michael. Both characters were attractive and had such great chemistry--I really enjoyed both of their characters and how well they were developed. Such a great series that I would highly recommend!
Oh if life could be like this. Good story collection. But u do need all three books. I wouldn't of liked book 1 or 2 without book 3.
I absolutely loved this series! Hot and steamy,sadness and laughter all in the right places! I couldn't get enough of Michael and Scarlett! This is a must read!!
Pretty good story, great sex scenes. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Good flow of characters & story lines. If you are into steamy sex scenes this is for you
I read a lot of these books and this one was different, it had a great story, I loved the characters. I really had a hard time putting it down! I would highly recommend it.
Great write, many twists but in the end... it's a happy ever after... <3
